Trump to Deliver Primetime Address on Elections Thursday

President Trump will deliver a primetime address at 9 p.m. Thursday focused on elections. He stated on Tuesday that the speech contains really big news and added that it will cover other topics as well.

Monday he repeated claims of voter fraud in the Los Angeles primary race for mayor during a Newsmax interview and said Republican Spencer Pratt lost his primary bid because of fraud. Federal prosecutors said last month they were opening fraud investigations in California after Trump drew attention to the Los Angeles mayoral primary claim.

Trump called the Georgia secretary of state and pressured him to find 11,780 votes. He and more than a dozen allies were indicted in Georgia over 2020 election claims, though the charges were later dropped. Repeated audits and reviews, including those run by Republicans and Trump’s own then-attorney general, found no significant fraud in the 2020 election.

Earlier this year FBI agents raided elections offices in Fulton County, Georgia, seizing materials from the 2020 election. Tulsi Gabbard, then Trump’s director of national intelligence, traveled to Atlanta to oversee the execution of the Fulton County search warrant.

Last week Trump ousted the remaining members of the federal Election Assistance Commission.
