President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social shortly after midnight on June 2, 2026, demanding that legal cases against him filed in New York City be dismissed. Trump wrote that Michael Cohen had “totally recants” his testimony and that the Manhattan prosecutor had admitted Cohen was the sole reason the case was brought. ” the post stated.

Trump added that the same pattern occurred in the cases brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. “That is exactly what happened in the Democrat New York Attorney General and Manhattan District Attorney’s Hoaxes against me,” he wrote. ” In it he stated he felt “compelled and coerced” by Bragg and James to testify against Trump.

Cohen wrote that he testified in two trials in 2023 and 2024 in which Trump was the defendant. “In both trials, government lawyers made me the key witness,” he said. Cohen described meetings that began with lawyers from the Manhattan DA’s Office and the New York Attorney General’s Office.

He added that prosecutors asked leading questions when his answers did not support their narrative.

Cohen said a similar situation occurred in the case brought by James. “Letitia James and Alvin Bragg may not share the same office or political calendar, but they share the same playbook,” he stated. Trump concluded that Cohen’s statements required dismissal of the cases.

“Now that his testimony is wiped away, and the unAmerican, Political Charade ‘Cases’ are even further discredited, they should be put out of their misery, and dismissed, once and for all,” Trump wrote. “Our Constitution, and the Rule of Law, demand immediate and swift dismissal, as well as for the Perpetrators of the Radical Left Lawfare and Weaponization to be held criminally responsible for their terrible misdeeds,” the post continued.
