upi.comPresident Donald Trump told CNBC on Tuesday that it is possible there will be a deal allowing Anthropic's artificial intelligence models to be used within the Department of Defense. Trump said Anthropic representatives came to the White House a few days ago for talks, describing the discussions as very good and noting the company is shaping up.
Senior administration officials met to discuss the company's AI model. Officials were present for the discussion, which a White House spokesperson described as productive and constructive. The Department of Defense declared Anthropic a supply chain risk in March, requiring defense contractors to certify they do not use the company's Claude AI models in military work.
