President Trump has given Iran one week to reach a deal with the United States, according to reports on negotiations to end the conflict. Iran is reviewing a US proposal and will surrender its enriched uranium, Trump said. The developments come as military actions continue in the region.

The US had advanced knowledge of the strike but there was not a request for a green light, a source told The Jerusalem Post. Smoke was reported rising from the southern suburbs of the city. The soldiers were evacuated to a hospital for treatment and their families were notified.

The incident occurred as IDF troops continue operations in the area.

The action took place as the vessel moved from the Gulf of Oman. Saudi Arabia denied the US access to its airspace and pressured the Trump administration to pause Project Freedom during the earlier Operation Epic Fury against Iran and before the current temporary ceasefire, a report stated. Saudi Arabia had previously allowed the US to fly aircraft from Prince Sultan Airbase.

Israel-Lebanon talks is scheduled to take place in the US next week. Separate reports indicated that US and Iranian officials are nearing a deal that would see Tehran give away its enriched uranium. Executed Iranian prisoners provided details of abuse and torture to The Jerusalem Post before their deaths.

Yaghoub Karimpour, 43, and Nasser Bakerzadeh, 26, were hanged on May 3 in Orumiyeh Central Prison. Mehrab Abdollahzadeh, 28, was executed the following day at the same facility. The image was posted to social media from the village of Debel within the past day.

Israeli officials stated there is full coordination with the US on regional developments.

US launched Operations Roaring Lion and Epic Fury on February 28 with the stated aim of creating conditions for regime change in Iran. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in an Israeli strike on a Tehran bunker and Iran's defense minister along with several IRGC generals were also killed.

Iran responded with missile attacks across the Middle East targeting Gulf nations and US military bases. Twelve IDF soldiers and 23 civilians have been killed in Israel with at least 7,693 others injured from ballistic missile attacks since February 28.

A ceasefire was announced on April 7 and took effect the next day.
