On Truth Social, Trump stated he was reviewing a new peace proposal from Tehran.
Trump also stated that Iran has not yet paid a big enough price for what they have done to humanity and the world over the last 47 years. Iran issued Trump a one-month deadline for negotiations on its proposed deal, according to two sources briefed on the proposal who spoke to Axios. The proposed deal includes reopening the Strait of Hormuz and bringing an end to the war.
It also includes the end of the US naval blockade of Iranian ports. The deal covers the end of the ongoing conflict in Lebanon. Negotiations on Iran’s nuclear programme would take place after the initial deal is reached.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will travel to the Vatican and Italy for meetings this week, La Repubblica and Corriere della Sera reported. Rubio is expected to meet with Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Vatican's lead diplomatic official. Rubio last met Pope Leo in May 2025 alongside Vice President JD Vance.

Gaza’s health ministry reported the number of Palestinians killed since a ceasefire was set to begin on October 11, 2025, has risen to 832.
