President Trump confirmed during an interview on The New York Post’s “Pod Force One” podcast that he told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu he was “f---ing crazy” in a phone call this week regarding Israel’s military operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Israeli officials had been considering deeper strikes into Lebanon after Hezbollah launched additional rocket barrages, according to Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Rubio told the House Foreign Affairs Committee that Hezbollah fired two waves of rockets into Israel shortly after the reported ceasefire signal, prompting Israel to resume defensive strikes in southern Lebanon.

Lebanese authorities had relayed that Hezbollah would halt attacks on Israel if Israel avoided striking Beirut.

” Israeli national security minister Ben Gvir posted on X that Netanyahu should tell the U.S. president “no” when necessary and continue operations against Hezbollah. Iranian officials have linked continued Israeli operations in Lebanon to the status of U.S.-Iran nuclear talks, warning that further escalation could affect negotiations over Tehran’s nuclear program and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
