President Donald Trump stated that he calls the shots on Iran and that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu does not call the shots. Trump made the remarks during a phone interview with the Financial Times on Sunday. He told the Financial Times that Israel “won’t have any choice” but to accept a potential agreement.

On Monday, Trump spoke by phone with BBC North America editor Sarah Smith. The call lasted just under a minute. Smith asked Trump whether Netanyahu had defied him by launching strikes on Iran on Sunday.

Trump said the missiles were “already on their way” when he spoke with Netanyahu. -brokered ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah began twelve days ago. Israel has continued strikes on densely populated neighborhoods in southern Lebanon during the truce.

One person was killed and more than sixty others injured when an Iranian drone struck Kuwait airport on Wednesday. The Palestine Marathon returned to Bethlehem after a two-year pause linked to the Gaza war, drawing thousands of runners. President Trump has suspended operation “Project Freedom” after two days.
