Trump Says He Couldn’t Care Less About Iran Ending Adherence to Mid-June Memorandum

US President Donald Trump said he “couldn’t care less” about Iran’s announcement that it is no longer abiding by the US-Iran memorandum of understanding signed in mid-June. The agreement had aimed to end the war launched by the US and Israel in February. ” Bahrain’s military stated that its air defence systems intercepted and destroyed several Iranian missile and drone attacks on Sunday.

The Bahrain Defence Force described the attacks as “treacherous” and said the use of such weapons against civilians and private property violated international humanitarian law. An unmanned aerial vehicle attack at 2 a.m. local time Saturday wounded at least eight members of the exiled Kurdistan Freedom Party at a camp in Erbil’s Darashakran area of northwest Iraq.

On Friday, drone and rocket attacks blamed on Iran killed nine members of the Komala Party in northern Iraq. Iran’s IRGC announced it shot down an MQ-9 drone. Over the past eight days Iran claimed four such shootdowns, and throughout the war it stated it downed more than 150 drones of various types, including about 30 MQ-9s.

Israeli forces launched new ground raids across Syria’s Quneitra countryside over the past two days. Five military vehicles entered the town of al-Samdaniyah al-Sharqiyah on Saturday, set up a checkpoint and searched passers-by, while soldiers in al-Hamidiyah fired a mortar round and smoke grenade without causing casualties.

On Friday night six Israeli vehicles advanced near the Koudna Dam under drone cover before withdrawing.

Syria condemned the raids as violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement and urged the international community to press Israel to withdraw fully from the south.
