He warned that continued collection would force him to impose the tariff on all French wine and champagne exports to the United States. France imposed the three percent digital services tax in 2019 on gross revenue earned by large technology firms operating in the country. The levy applies to companies including Google, Apple, Facebook, Amazon and Microsoft.
