Trump Says He Knows Little About New Makerfield MP Andy Burnham and Urges UK to Allow North Sea Drilling

President Trump said he knows nothing about Andy Burnham, the newly elected Makerfield MP. He described Burnham as the mayor of a town and said he had heard the politician was extremely liberal. Trump added that he did not want to be the first leader to visit Burnham's Britain.

He said the two men were probably of different persuasion. Trump also called on the UK to open the North Sea to drilling. He said every oil company had approached him seeking access to British fields and that companies would do anything to drill there.

The president noted that oil companies buy from Norway instead, which receives the offer of the North Sea and holds $2 trillion in the bank. He said the UK is dying and should open the North Sea, adding that a lot of good things would happen if it did.
