ForbesPresident Trump announced on June 15, 2026, that he will hold an event titled Tribute to America on the National Mall on July 4. The program commemorates America's 250th anniversary. The event will take place near the Lincoln Memorial and the recently renovated reflecting pool.
It will include patriotic selections performed by more than 300 members of military bands and orchestras. Trump stated that the ensemble will be the largest formation of Joint Military Music and Ceremonial performances in history. The evening will also feature flyovers and airshows by top military pilots and equipment.
Trump will deliver keynote remarks at the event. The Washington Times reported that the rally will conclude with what Trump described as the largest fireworks show in history. Trump posted on social media that the Lincoln Memorial program will cap off with the fireworks display.
The announcement followed several artists withdrawing from separate Freedom 250 concerts scheduled around Independence Day. Those concerts were expected to include performers such as Martina McBride, the Commodores and Milli Vanilli. The Washington Times reported that many artists who withdrew said the Freedom 250 events appeared more closely aligned with the White House than expected rather than remaining nonpartisan.
Trump attended UFC Freedom 250 on the South Lawn of the White House on June 15, 2026, alongside UFC President and CEO Dana White and first lady Melania Trump.
