The three Gulf nations expressed concern that renewed U.S. strikes could trigger Iranian retaliation against their oil and energy facilities. Trump stated on Truth Social that serious negotiations are now taking place and that the allies believe an acceptable deal can be reached.
He directed the Pentagon to prepare for a full, large-scale assault on Iran at a moment's notice if no acceptable agreement is reached.
Pezeshkian posted on X that dialogue does not mean surrender. He stated the Islamic Republic enters talks with dignity and authority and will not retreat from the legal rights of the people and the country. Government-organized rallies took place in Tehran where participants expressed willingness to serve as martyrs for Iran.

Brad Cooper is scheduled to testify before the House Armed Services Committee at 10 a.m. today on security challenges in the Greater Middle East. He will be joined by U.S. Africa Commander Gen. Additional hearings on military budgets are set for later in the morning before Senate and House committees.
