Trump and Macron to Dine at Versailles After G7 Summit in France

President Donald Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron will meet over dinner at the Palace of Versailles after the G7 summit next week in France. U.S. independence, according to Macron's office.

The G7 summit will take place in the French lakeside town of Evian-les-Bains. Leaders of the United States, Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, and Japan are meeting to discuss economic growth and development, strengthening supply chains for critical minerals, illegal immigration, and artificial intelligence. The wars in Ukraine and Iran are expected to be front and center at the summit.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will attend the G7 summit. Trump is scheduled to arrive in France on Monday afternoon. He will depart Washington after celebrating his 80th birthday with a primetime mixed martial arts show on the White House lawn on Sunday.

Trump will also meet with Macron after arriving in France. Trump plans separate talks with the leaders of Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and India during the summit period. Those countries are attending the G7 summit at Macron's invitation.

A formal bilateral meeting between Trump and Zelenskyy is not currently scheduled, though the two could meet on the sidelines. France 24 reported that Trump is seeking progress on finalizing an Iran war deal in the coming days. U.S. Officials said. The Palace of Versailles was the residence of French kings from the time of Louis XIV to Louis XVI.

It has 2,300 rooms and regularly hosts heads of state and foreign dignitaries. Macron hosted King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Versailles in 2021 for the palace's 400th anniversary, with a dinner in the Hall of Mirrors.
