Trump Says One Shot Could Eliminate Iranian Leaders at Khamenei Funeral

President Trump said on July 4 that thousands of mourners, including Iran's top leaders, had gathered at Ali Khamenei's funeral in Tehran. He stated that one shot could take them all out but added that the United States would not do so because it would leave nobody to negotiate with. Trump told Axios that the United States beat Venezuela in one day and knocked the hell out of Iran.

He said the United States gave Iran a week off for the funeral because it is nice. Iran's embassy in Yerevan posted on X that people can be killed but ideals cannot. The post said the United States killed Ayatollah Khamenei but in reality broke a perfume bottle whose scent spread everywhere.

Khamenei's coffin and the coffins of his daughter, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, and 14-month-old granddaughter are on public display at the Imam Khomeini Grand Mosalla in Tehran. Thousands of mourners gathered at the courtyard and chanted Death to America. Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, son of the late supreme leader and new leader, has not appeared publicly since the February US attacks.

Iran's Ambassador to China, Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli, announced at the World Peace Forum in Beijing that Iran will levy new service fees for ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz. Tehran is working with Oman on a new framework to manage traffic through the strait.
