Trump Organization Files Trademark for The 47 Plan Amid Trump Mobile Activity

Trump Mobile, a venture of the Trump Organization, launched in June 2025 as a cellular service provider offering 5G plans and a custom smartphone called the T1 phone. U.S. networks, roadside assistance, international calling to 100 destinations, and telehealth services with mental health support and prescription discounts.

The T1 phone was initially scheduled for release in August 2025, with pre-orders accepted for $100 and the remaining $399 balance due upon shipping. The company made no public announcements and posted no social media updates after August 27, 2025. Pre-order customers have not received their devices.

Trump Mobile has since added renewed Samsung and Apple phones for purchase on its website. On April 6, 2025, the Trump Organization filed a trademark application for 'The 47 Plan' as a mobile phone service, according to records reviewed by trademark attorney Josh Gerben. USA Today reported that this filing indicates renewed activity for the venture.

The application aligns with the previously advertised plan name. In January 2025, The Verge reported that the Federal Communications Commission certified a smartphone under the trade name 'T1,' which appears to be the device associated with Trump Mobile. Trump Mobile executives told The Verge earlier in 2025 that the final product price would exceed the initial $499 pre-order amount.
