President Trump said Wednesday he would not accept any arrangement that lets Russia or China take possession of Iran's highly enriched uranium as part of a deal to end the three-month-old war. "No, I wouldn't be comfortable" with that arrangement, Trump said during a Cabinet meeting at the White House.

Trump previously stated on Truth Social that Iran's enriched uranium will be destroyed, either in the United States, inside Iran, or at another acceptable location. He added that the United States is "not talking about any easing of sanctions" on Iran or providing any money as part of a deal.

"No sanctions, no money, no nothing," Trump said. "We have control of money that they claim is theirs. We'll keep control of that money. He said the waterway "is going to be open to everybody" and that the United States will watch over it. "The strait's going to be open to everybody," Trump said.

"We'll watch over it, but nobody's going to control it.
