Earlier this week, reports indicated that Trump called Senate Majority Leader John Thune and demanded MacDonough be fired, though Thune resisted.
The White House declined to comment on the reports at the time.
Trump accused Republicans of playing a very soft game compared to Democrats. He said Democrats cheat, lie, and steal, especially when it comes to votes in elections, but stick together. Republicans allow the Elizabeth MacDonoughs of the world to stay in power and brutalize us, Trump wrote.
In the same post, Trump again called on the Senate to pass the SAVE America Act, his favored election integrity bill, and eliminate the filibuster. If we don’t pass at least one of these two provisions quickly, you will never see another Republican President again, Trump stated. C.
