A Turkish-flagged fishing boat was attacked and sank in the northern Black Sea on Friday, leaving one sailor dead and four others wounded, the Turkish Coast Guard said. The vessel, identified as the Duru 67, came under attack west of Sevastopol in Crimea earlier the same day.

Rescue and medical response Five injured sailors were rescued by another Turkish trawler, the Burak Kaya. One sailor died during the return voyage to Turkey. A Turkish Coast Guard vessel carrying a medical team reached the Burak Kaya 115 nautical miles north of Inebolu port and took the casualties on board.
