Two Russian climbers scaled the Empire State Building on Wednesday afternoon and reached its spire. The pair wore black masks and identified themselves as roof-toppers, or stunt climbers. They unfurled a banner calling for world peace.

One climber then produced a ring and proposed to the other. The New York Police Department later released bodycam footage showing the arrest of one of the climbers. Both individuals were taken into custody after descending the building.
