Youthanasia and Countdown to Extinction debuted on Billboard's Vinyl Albums chart this week. Youthanasia entered at No. 22 and Countdown to Extinction at No. 17. The two debuts increased Megadeth's career total on the Vinyl Albums chart from six to eight. Half of the band's placements on the 25-position list have occurred in 2026.
An EP titled Hidden Treasures reached No. 20 in May.
Nearly half of the positions on this week's Vinyl Albums chart are new entries. Twelve titles debuted, including releases from Paul McCartney, Boards of Canada, Shinedown, and Dogstar that landed inside the top 10. Megadeth shares the chart with Danzig, which also placed two titles. Michael Jackson holds four current positions on the list.
