U.S.-Iran Ceasefire Holds into Fourth Week Amid Stalled Talks and Latest Iranian Proposal
More than three weeks into a two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran, negotiations remain stalled. President Trump initially rejected a new Iranian 14-point proposal but later indicated openness to parts of it. The truce follows extensions of deadlines amid Operation Epic Fury.

Iran submitted a new 14-point proposal that includes withdrawal of American forces in theater, significant financial reparations, protection for Hezbollah in Lebanon, and recognition of Iranian control over the Strait of Hormuz. The proposal separates discussions about reopening the Strait of Hormuz from those regarding Iran's nuclear weapons program.
President Trump originally rejected the Iranian proposal outright on Friday but softened to the idea of entertaining portions of it by the next day.
