U.S. Central Command struck targets at Bandar Abbas Naval Base in Iran on Monday using three Corsair unmanned surface vessels. The targets included an Iranian ship maintenance facility and a submarine at the port.

Officials said the vessels detonated at a sub repair dock. The attack marked the first time American forces have employed sea drones in combat operations. U.S. Central Command released a video showing the drone boats approaching a dock with a submarine and aerial footage of the explosion.
The strike took place on 13 July despite the Trump administration’s claim that it has destroyed Iran’s navy.
