U.S. Chamber of Commerce Receives Record $100 Million Anonymous Donation
A single anonymous donor gave the 114-year-old organization its largest contribution ever to expand the New Fight for Free Enterprise initiative.
The HillU.S. Chamber of Commerce announced Thursday that it received a $100 million contribution from a single individual, the largest-ever donation in the organization’s 114-year history. The donor, a long-time member of the Chamber, requested anonymity.
The funds will support the New Fight for Free Enterprise initiative and are scheduled to be fully endowed by December 2026. The money will not be used for election-related expenses or general operating expenses, according to the donor’s intent. Suzanne P.
U.S. Chamber of Commerce, said the contribution will expand the initiative at a critical time. “Thanks to this transformational investment, we are expanding the New Fight for Free Enterprise at a moment when it matters most,” Clark said.
The New Fight for Free Enterprise combines advocacy in public debate, in the courts, and through the Chamber’s network of state partners. ” Clark added that the effort is already strengthening the case for free enterprise, equipping leaders to engage more effectively, and stopping harmful policies before they take hold.
“Our mission is to ensure free enterprise remains the foundation of growth and opportunity in America,” she said.
“That requires both the ability to move quickly in the face of new challenges and the staying power to see this work through. ” The Chamber advocated against President Trump’s tariffs with an amicus brief in a Supreme Court case last year.
