U.S. Defense Officials Announce Naval Blockade, Warning to Iran; Peace Talks Fail

Defense officials announced that a naval blockade of Iranian ports has been in effect for more than 24 hours. The blockade covers all ships, regardless of nationality, entering or leaving Iranian ports but does not constitute a full closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

More than 10,000 military personnel are involved in enforcing the blockade. Officials reported that this message has been delivered 13 times since the blockade began, with no ships boarded so far.
