Rubio said the Strait of Hormuz will be open once an agreement with Iran is reached. He stated that no country supports Iran's tolling system on the waterway except Iran itself. Rubio spoke during a multi-nation diplomatic tour and said a preliminary draft of a potential deal has support from several regional leaders. He added that finalizing any agreement would take a couple of days.
Trump said Iran's enriched uranium should be destroyed in place or at another acceptable location under oversight by the Atomic Energy Commission. S. remains an option but is not his preference. The statement marks a shift from earlier demands that Iran hand the material directly to the United States.
