The United States and Iran are set to sign an agreement as soon as Friday in Geneva, Switzerland, aimed at ending months of military conflict. 044 according to AAA’s national average, down almost 50 cents from a month ago. Washington Examiner columnist Joe Concha said on Fox Business’s Varney & Company on Tuesday that the agreement could mark a turning point.
“For the first time in modern history, [there is] a real chance to unite the gulf in the Middle East,” Concha said. S. military and President Trump’s decision to move against Iran, along with Gulf states joining the United States.
U.S. Concha also pointed to the potential domestic impact of declining energy prices.
“If the war is over and gas prices go down to levels that we haven’t seen in many, many months, then what is the Democrat message? ” he said. S. is seeing strong job growth, solid GDP figures, and falling gas prices, arguing that Democrats can no longer rely on the economy to advance a “blue wave” message ahead of the midterm elections.
Concha added that continued economic improvement could strengthen Republican prospects in the House and Senate. “We have real, real progress here,” Concha said.
