The United States and Iran have reached a new Memorandum of Understanding to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and address Iran's nuclear program, Fox News reported. A signing ceremony is scheduled for June 19 in Switzerland. The agreement follows a three-month conflict between the two countries.
It aims to restore maritime traffic through the strategic waterway and resolve outstanding nuclear issues. During a Wednesday segment of "The View," co-host Whoopi Goldberg said the only way to stop the deal is to change the regime. Co-host Sunny Hostin clarified that Goldberg was referring to the Trump administration, not Iranian leadership.
"Well, because that's what it is to me," Goldberg said of the current administration. -Iran deal. She said their opposition shows that even hardliners against the administration do not view the agreement as effective.
Co-host Joy Behar asked what Rubio and Hegseth could do to block the deal. Griffin replied that they cannot stop it because the decision rests with the president. Behar then said the two officials are "useless" in this context.
