President Donald Trump on Friday unveiled a rendering of a limited-edition US passport that features his stern-faced likeness leaning on a desk, @SCMPNews reported. The design commemorates the 250th anniversary of American independence. The image shows Trump’s signature and the text of the Declaration of Independence in the background.
It appears based on a photograph taken by White House photographer Daniel Torok. ” With this edition, Trump becomes the first sitting US president to appear on travel documents. The State Department had previously announced that a commemorative passport with custom artwork would be available starting July 6.
