The United States is holding multiple public events this summer to mark 250 years since the Declaration of Independence. Organizers have scheduled activities on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., and in Philadelphia that focus on American history and regional contributions.
The Great American State Fair opened on the National Mall on June 25 and runs through July 10. It features pavilions for all 56 states and territories, daily performances, exhibits on history and innovation, and traditional fair attractions.
