U.S. Military Conducts New Strikes on Iranian Targets

The U.S. military conducted further air strikes on Iranian targets overnight Tuesday and again on Wednesday, hitting military sites near the Strait of Hormuz, on Greater Tunb island, and a barracks in Bampour. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said the attacks killed seven personnel from the 388th Brigade.

Iranian media also reported a strike on a wheat storage facility in Khuzestan province, which the U.S. military denied.

Iran’s top negotiator stated on July 15 that the country’s armed forces now have complete freedom of action following the U.S. attacks. The U.S. began its latest wave at 10:30 p.m. Iranian time and redirected two commercial vessels under a renewed blockade on Iranian ports that started the previous night.
