U.S. Military Delivers Vehicles and Aid to Venezuela After Earthquakes
U.S. military units transported ten Marine Corps vehicles and other supplies to Venezuela on Friday. The deliveries support relief operations after twin earthquakes last week killed nearly 2,000 people.

U.S. military units delivered the final shipment of ten Marine Corps Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacements to Venezuela on Friday. A U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster aircraft flew the vehicles to Simón Bolívar International Airport near Caracas. The vehicles will move supplies to communities affected by the earthquakes.
Marine, Navy, and Army aircraft also flew pre-packaged meals and other cargo to support survivors and displaced residents.
The USS Fort Lauderdale remains docked at the Port of La Guaira. The ship serves as a communications hub and distribution point for incoming aid. A Humanitarian Assistance Coordination Center at the airport coordinates with local authorities and other agencies on the ground. The center manages logistics for the relief effort.
The Trump administration has allocated $150 million in humanitarian relief. Officials also deployed a Disaster Assistance Response Team of more than 250 people, including three urban search-and-rescue units. The death toll from the 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude earthquakes stands at nearly 2,000 and continues to rise.
