Additional U.S. aerial refueling tankers are being stationed at Israeli military bases and Ramon Airport in southern Israel. A senior security official said the deployments are occurring as more U.S. forces arrive in the region. The same statement noted that coordination between the militaries will increase.
The official added that U.S. military aircraft including F-35 and F-15 models are also being redeployed.
Dozens of aircraft are involved in the movements. Photographs from February 2026 show U.S. Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft already parked at Ben Gurion International Airport near Tel Aviv.
