The adjustment follows months of UAE operations that included intercepting hundreds of missiles, conducting dozens of airstrikes, and maintaining oil transit through the Strait of Hormuz.
G42, the UAE's largest AI company, can now purchase Nvidia chips without previous restrictions. Limits on Microsoft and OpenAI data center operations in the country have also been lifted. The policy shift ends earlier constraints that treated the UAE under the same export rules applied to China and Yemen.
