U.S. President criticizes Italy for not joining military action against Iran

The U.S. president said Italy and its prime minister had not joined U.S. and Israeli military operations against Iran. The president questioned whether NATO allies remained committed after decades of U.S. support.

Syria statements Israel's defense minister said forces would remain at Beaufort Castle in southern Lebanon, describing the site as part of a security zone. Syria's president said the country could support efforts to resolve Lebanon's crisis through economic channels and talks among Lebanese factions, including Hezbollah.

He clarified that Syria sought no military role. Iran's finance minister said a new memorandum would lift oil sanctions, allow unrestricted crude sales, and help address budget shortfalls. The minister added that previously blocked funds would support the central bank once released.
