U.S. media outlets reported that the president requested further amendments to a proposed peace agreement following a White House meeting on Friday. The New York Times said the additional changes could extend the timeline for reaching a final deal, noting the difficulty of relaying information to Iran's Supreme Leader.

Iran's lead negotiator stated after re-election as speaker of parliament that the country would not sign any agreement failing to secure Iranian rights. The negotiator added that Iran is waiting for "tangible results" from the talks.

Iranian state media reported that 28 ships passed through the Strait of Hormuz over a 24-hour period from Saturday into Sunday. The volume remains below normal traffic levels for the waterway, which has been subject to restrictions during the conflict.

Israeli forces took control of Beaufort Castle, a hilltop site overlooking southern Lebanon, marking the deepest advance into Lebanese territory since 2000. Hezbollah continued rocket and drone attacks on Israeli positions and border communities, prompting warning sirens and the closure of some schools in northern Israel. One drone struck a building in northern Israel, injuring several people.
