U.S. Strikes Hit Iranian Military Sites for Ninth Straight Night

U.S. Central Command carried out strikes on Iranian military command centers, air-defense sites, coastal surveillance facilities, missile and drone launch sites, and communication networks. The strikes marked the ninth consecutive evening of U.S.

Action against Iran. Explosions were reported in Tabriz, Jask, Sirik, Khormoj, Delijan, Arak, and Konarak. Iran’s Foreign Ministry said it had received proposals from mediators about the conflict with the U.S.

And that talks could continue based on national interests, though sovereign rights over the Strait of Hormuz remain non-negotiable. National average retail gasoline prices reached $4.0030 a gallon on Monday, up more than 30 percent since late February, AAA data showed. Brent crude fell 0.3 percent to around $87 a barrel after the Iranian statement.

S&P 500 futures rose 0.5 percent and Nasdaq futures gained 1 percent in premarket trading. European stocks were little changed while Asian markets were mixed, with South Korea’s Kospi falling 5.1 percent and Chinese shares rising after state funds bought equities.
