U.S. action a violation of the April 8 ceasefire and said Tehran would not leave the strikes unanswered. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei warned that regional countries would no longer serve as shields for American bases. A separate incident Tuesday involved the oil tanker Olympic Life, which was struck by an unknown projectile 60 nautical miles east of Muscat, Oman.
No injuries were reported and the source of the attack remains unidentified.
Peace Talks and Shipping Dispute U.S.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio told reporters Tuesday that talks in Qatar were continuing but that any Iranian fee system for Strait transits was unacceptable. He said the waterway must remain open without tolls. CENTCOM denied reports that the Navy had resumed escorting commercial vessels through the Strait, stating that Project Freedom had not restarted.

The Israeli Air Force released video of strikes on Hezbollah infrastructure the same day. He said Iran could also be invited to join if a deal is reached.
