Marta entered the game as a substitute in the 80th minute, marking her 212th appearance for Brazil. Dudinha, a 20-year-old forward with the San Diego Wave, left the field on a stretcher in the 30th minute after colliding with Sonnett and later returned to the bench on crutches. The match was the second of two friendlies between the teams in Brazil.
The United States lost the first encounter 2-1 on Saturday in Sao Paulo. Both stadiums will host matches at the Women’s World Cup next June and July.
