The UAE has taken delivery of a third Cheongung-II missile battery from South Korea, one month ahead of the original schedule. Eight C-17 transport aircraft are moving sequentially into Daegu Air Base to complete the transfer. @MarioNawfal reported that the UAE government decided to accelerate the timeline after two previously deployed Cheongung-II batteries fired more than 60 interceptor missiles during Iran's recent attacks.
U.S. Patriot and Israeli Arrow systems during the same engagements. The accelerated delivery reflects the UAE's assessment of interceptor consumption rates observed in the recent exchanges.
The third battery will add to the systems already positioned in the country.
