Uber is in advanced talks to acquire Delivery Hero. Delivery Hero confirmed the negotiations in a Tuesday statement. The company said Uber had made a takeover offer to all its shareholders. Uber first approached Delivery Hero in May with an offer of 38 euros per share.
Delivery Hero declined to comment on speculation about the offer price. As part of the transaction structure, Delivery Hero is set to sell its Turkish unit Yemeksepeti and several European businesses to an investment firm. An announcement on the deal is expected as early as Thursday.
