In the gold medal game against the United States, he scored 37 points and grabbed nine rebounds.
The prior summer, Kusturica won MVP honors at the FIBA U16 EuroBasket. He averaged 20.0 points, 7.7 rebounds and 3.4 assists in seven games while leading Serbia to the gold medal. Kusturica has been part of the FC Barcelona system since 2023.
He made his competitive debut for the club's first team in September 2025, becoming the youngest player ever to appear for Barcelona. He remains two years from NBA eligibility. UCLA coach Mick Cronin expects Kusturica to contribute immediately.
