UCLA Uses Video Message From Former Player in Effort to Recruit Quarterback

A four-star quarterback who had been committed to Ohio State visited UCLA and received a recorded message from a former UCLA player during the trip. The message stated the former player enjoyed his time at UCLA and hoped the recruit would continue his career there. The recruit later told On3 that the visit surpassed his expectations and that he no longer knew where he would enroll.

The quarterback had been committed to Ohio State since December 2024. UCLA is in its first season under a new head coach who previously led James Madison to a 12-2 record and playoff appearance in 2025. The new coach arrived after building a record at multiple levels, including Division III and FCS programs.

Ohio State retains an official visit with the recruit and remains in contention for his commitment.
