Thousands of invited guests are expected to attend, and tens of thousands more are expected to watch the broadcast, according to Total Pro Sports. The card is officially known as UFC Freedom 250. The UFC expects the card to become one of the most-watched events of the year.
Dana White said the broadcast will take viewers on a journey through American history between bouts. He said the storytelling approach will mirror the “Chapters” segments featured during Noche UFC at Sphere in 2024. The UFC plans to use the breaks between fights to chronicle key moments in the nation’s history.
“There’s only X amount of fights and it starts from the first one,” White said. “We start at the beginning of time, like the Mexican Independence Day fight that we did. ” UFC executives have described the intermission features as a tribute to the people, events, and milestones that shaped the United States.
The event marks the first professional sporting event ever staged on White House grounds.
