UK officials said the owner of X is interfering in domestic politics and attempting to create division after posting repeatedly about the murder of Henry Nowak. The statements came during a visit to Yorkshire where officials were scheduled to meet regional mayors. They described the posts as using far-right themes and talking points.

Background on the murder case Nowak, 18, was stabbed in Southampton and died after police arrived at the scene. Officers had responded after the attacker falsely claimed he had been racially abused. The police watchdog is reviewing the conduct of the officers who handcuffed Nowak while he was dying. Eleven officers and one police dog were injured during subsequent unrest in the city.

Legal action against xAI Labour MP Jess Asato is pursuing legal action against xAI, now a subsidiary of SpaceX, over the creation of sexualised images of her using the Grok tool. Officials said they had already confronted the company about the generation of such images, some of which featured children, and warned of potential regulatory consequences.

Jess Asato is absolutely right in the action she is taking. Disgusting images were created, in her particular case by Grok." — UK officials, speaking in Yorkshire. The claim filed in the high court alleges breaches of data protection laws and misuse of private information.

Reaction from officials Officials stated that Britain should respond to such cases calmly and that the country is defined by being reasonable and tolerant. They said the focus should remain on taking action against platforms that allow the spread of the images rather than allowing social media activity to inflame tensions.
