Thames Valley Police said they had been in contact with lawyers for a woman who alleges she was taken to a location in Windsor in 2010 for sexual purposes.
Police stated that if she wishes to report the matter, it will be taken seriously and handled with care, sensitivity, and respect for her privacy.
The inquiry also covers Andrew’s time as UK trade envoy from 2001 to 2011. Officers are examining claims of fraud, corruption, bullying, and perverting the course of justice. Andrew was arrested in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office. His homes on the Sandringham Estate and at Royal Lodge in Berkshire were searched after the arrest.
The latest allegations mark the first time a Jeffrey Epstein accuser has claimed to have had sex with Andrew at a royal residence. Andrew has repeatedly denied wrongdoing in connection with allegations against him. UK Trade Minister Chris Bryant said no evidence of a formal vetting process was found prior to Andrew’s appointment as trade envoy.
