Unidentified armed men boarded the chemical tanker Asana off the southern coast of Yemen in the Gulf of Aden on Friday and took control of the vessel, Reuters reported. Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy said one of its electricity generation and water desalination plants was targeted in attacks, resulting in fire and damage to the site.
Firefighting teams brought the fire under control while technical teams carried out repair work and restored affected units.

An official from the Kurdistan Workers’ Association of Iran in Sulaimaniyah said at least eight Iranian Kurdish fighters were killed when their headquarters in Zarkwezla, Sulaimaniyah Governorate, Iraq, was targeted by six missiles.
