University of Hong Kong Researchers Develop First Soft 3D Hydrogel Semiconductor

Researchers at the University of Hong Kong developed the world's first soft three-dimensional semiconductor made from hydrogel. The device differs from conventional semiconductors because it is soft and three-dimensional. The semiconductor is constructed entirely from hydrogel.

It behaves more like human tissue than rigid silicon-based chips. The material can interact directly with living cells. University of Hong Kong researchers announced the development in a statement reported by @MarioNawfal.
