US C-17 Cargo Planes Land in Beijing Ahead of Trump's State Visit
Two U.S. Air Force C-17 cargo planes arrived at Beijing Capital International Airport on Friday and Saturday, according to images and tracking data. The arrivals coincide with preparations for President Donald Trump's expected visit to China this month. Similar aircraft deployments supported Vice President J.D. Vance's recent trip to Pakistan.

Air Force heavy-lifters bearing tail numbers 088204 and 055140 on their vertical stabilisers.
Images of the aircraft were posted on Chinese social media by several aviation photography enthusiasts. The planes' arrival was noted on Saturday by Armchair Admiral, a Britain-based social media channel that tracks air force aircraft movements. Two more C-17 aircraft appeared to be en route to China at the time of the note, according to Armchair Admiral.
U.S. President Donald Trump’s trip to China is expected this month. C-17s are high-wing four-engine heavy-lifters. S. president’s or vice-president’s motorcade and support gear, including the heavily armoured presidential limousine known as 'The Beast', before overseas trips.
