US Completes Strikes on Iranian Military Targets Near Strait of Hormuz

The US military completed a further round of attacks against Iran, hitting dozens of military targets near the Strait of Hormuz and Iranian coastal areas, @AJEnglish reported. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps warned that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until the end of America’s evils.
The IRGC also claimed to have destroyed the US Fifth Fleet’s command centre, support facilities and fuel tanks in Bahrain and targeted a major US military logistics hub in Mina Abdullah, Kuwait.
Jordanian air defences intercepted and downed three Iranian ballistic missiles that breached the country’s airspace at dawn on Wednesday, the Jordanian military said. Oil prices rose early on Wednesday after US President Donald Trump reimposed a blockade on Iranian ports and Iran launched retaliatory strikes on regional US bases.

At the UN Security Council, Chinese Ambassador Sun Lei stated that the US launching major attacks against Iran has once again pushed the region into a dangerous precipice. Sun said the claim by US envoy Mike Waltz that China was not doing enough to stop the flow of goods to Iran and Yemen was completely baseless, adding that China exercises strict control over such exports.
The priority now is for the US to stop creating new conflicts and turmoil in the Middle East, Sun stated.
Waltz accused China of not doing enough to stop the flow of goods to Iran and the Houthis that could have non-civilian uses. States like Iran, and to some degree companies and entities in China, have violated a UN resolution imposing an arms embargo on the Houthis with little consequence, Waltz told the council.
