US forces attacked a military installation on the outskirts of Yasuj in southwestern Iran as part of three rounds of air strikes carried out over the past week, Iranian security officials told IRIB. The strikes targeted cities and islands along Iran's southern coast including Sirik, Jask, Bandar Abbas, Kangan, Bandar-e Deyr, Asaluyeh, areas near Konarak and Chabahar, and Qeshm Island, according to reporting from Tehran.
Iran responded by targeting sites in Oman's Musandam Governorate with drones, prompting the Omani government to condemn the attacks.
A security source told the Oman News Agency that the sites were struck, and the government said it was taking all necessary measures to preserve the safety of the country and its residents. Iran's IRGC separately claimed a heavy and surprise attack on logistics support centres and refuelling platforms at the port of Duqm in Oman's al-Wusta governorate.
Three missiles launched from Iran fell in different locations in Jordan at dawn on 2026-07-12 without causing casualties, a Jordanian official military source told Petra news agency.
